Great little local bar, food and service excellent. Always made welcome when ever I go. Keep up the good work !

Visited and was treated like an annoyance throughout. Pointed out that one of the langoustines were uncooked, she just said 'well shall I heat it? ' I said no as I was put off from the raw seafood. No offer of anything else or apology, just 'c 'est termine ' and angrily cleared the plates off the table. Ignored us for further 20 mins so we went to the bar to pay. Really disappointing. The craft local beer was very nice though.

Ate here twice. First day we arrived late and was closed for food but they looked after us. Second was 3 of us. Food was great service a little slow as was busy. On the road but not an issue. Highly recommend.

This is one of a few restaurants with tables by the water on the east side of the Royal Canal in Sete (there are very many more on the other side of the Canal . There were no tables free at our first choice, and although there were free tables at our second choice we were told that the kitchen had just closed (at 1.30pm on a Saturday ! so we came to Le Boucanier. Although they were very busy they were happy to serve us lucky for us. They do a really good selection of reasonably priced tapas. We only had three to share as we wanted just a light lunch patatas bravas, a plate of assorted meats and razor clams (it is a fishing port after all. They were all very good or excellent and came to Eur 28 in total which was good in relation to the portion sizes and interesting flavours. A 50cl pichet of white wine was just Eur 10 so reasonable value to get a really decent lunch for two all in for less than Eur 40. Nice surroundings, attentive staff, well worth it.

I wouldn't say this place was a great, apart from the location on the canals, the food was nice but little expensive for what you got. Our waiter was friendly but as the restaurant started to fill up a little the service did fall slightly short. All in all a nice meal but like I said a little overpriced.
