The food was amazing, absolutely delicious! The service was top-notch, the waiter was very friendly. We were seated at the front of the boat, and the outdoor seating was fantastic!
A great place to enjoy local products, shellfish, and fish—very good quality and fresh. The setting is picturesque. I highly recommend it! (From Lyon and the weekend)
A delightful surprise: a beautifully decorated restaurant on a houseboat... Welcoming and professional staff. Excellent, homemade cuisine... The cuttlefish stew was truly delicious, the smoked salmon was superb, and the desserts were very good. A lovely and charming restaurant in Sète.
Thank you for making me love fish again... It was delicious... You definitely deserve your 5 stars
Disappointing compared to previous years. A drop in quality. The once excellent restaurant has become just another run-of-the-mill eatery, identical to all the other tourist traps near the docks. No more white tablecloths or napkins, which used to be the hallmark of the establishment. We ate at the table (without placemats) using paper napkins. A water glass was dirty; I had to ask for it to be replaced. The fish platter is nothing like it used to be. The fish was overcooked, with no enticing aroma because there was no olive oil, garlic, or parsley—just grilled on a griddle, like the other fish on the table. All the side dishes were meticulously identical (sweet potato mash, mashed potatoes, seaweed, and a little ratatouille). Every diner at the table, regardless of their main course, received the same side. Just two years ago, each different dish came with a different garnish to complement it. The same was true for the other diners at neighboring tables; they all had the same side dishes. So, no originality whatsoever that evening in terms of side dishes: just like at the barracks—everything was the same! As for desserts, there was no originality either. No signature dessert or special Péniche dessert. Just classic desserts you find everywhere: ice cream, profiteroles, chocolate mousse, apple tart. I ordered profiteroles, and they were disgusting! The cream puffs were exactly the same as the ones you buy in a box. It 's blatant and obvious (I buy the same ones). They were tiny, hard, and dry. It 's a shame that for such an establishment, the cream puffs aren 't made on-site. That would be the bare minimum. Same thing: the whipped cream was from a can. The taste is unmistakable. In short: This is no longer a fine-dining establishment; it 's a very expensive little restaurant; it 's banking on the novelty of dining on a boat.
