The Côté Mer was our favourite paillote at Sète for more than 10 years .Last month(August 2019) on a Friday we made a telephone booking of two transats for the... read more The Côté Mer was our favourite paillote at Sète for more than 10 years .Last month(August 2019) on a Friday we made a telephone booking of two transats for the following Sunday afternoon.On arrival at the time appointed we were told that our reservation did not exist and that all aw about people who claim to have made bookings when they have not. Perhaps it was assumed that people who speak French with a foreign accent are incapable of properly understanding the language.Or perhaps clients are now to be treated (and disrespected) as mere punters under the present management. We left hungry and disappointed. Subsequently,we have read the no small number of highly unflattering reviews of this establishment written by French customers on Tripadvisor since the beginning of August 2019. We now congratulate ourselves on having avoided the Côté Mer in its present state. Richard
