For those like me who love pizza with deep dough, like a slice so to speak, here is the best. Six of us took two trays with three flavors for each, super fabulous.... TASTE OF HOME I had lunch with colleagues for the first time at La Vecchia Locanda a few days ago and I must say that I was surprised. Location: the inn is located on the main road that leads to the center of Sesto Calende, the convenience for passers-by of finding it is high. Honestly, we stopped by chance but never was a more right choice. From the outside it looks like a simple building, perhaps an old house from the 60s and inside the furnishings are typical of an inn, wood reigns supreme, simple, warm and with the air of a home tavern , very welcoming. Food: the menu of the day is transcribed on a blackboard hanging on the wall, I imagine it changes every week depending on the raw materials. After ordering, delicious bread and slices of pizza are brought to the table. I decide to start with a plate of fusilli with braised meat, spectacular: the flavor is strong and well balanced and the braised meat melts in the mouth with a sprinkling of parmesan the dish becomes practically perfect. I then continue with a grilled steak and steamed vegetables: the meat is quality and well cooked, flavored with rosemary. The value for money is astonishing, the lunch menu is 15 euros, the portions are right and the quality is very high. Service: it is friendly and informal, it feels like family. The girls are nice and well prepared, nothing negative to report. I can say that the experience at La Vecchia Locanda was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely return and recommend it to my acquaintances.
