there is a separate vegan menu here with a few different kinds of 떡볶이. it’s one of my favorite foods so i was excited to try here, but it wasn’t that amazing. however, the fried pumpkin and other sides were really good. the rice ball was really filled with mayo and i was scared it wasn’t a vegan one i’d go back to try another kind of rice cakes. Beautiful small place with clearly marked vegan options. There are a few options to adjust your tteokkbokki. For example, add additional rams. The tteokbokki had an interesting szechuan taste.
Very easy to order at the digital menus at the entrance, has options for Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese, with a clearly labelled vegan menu option. Ordered the fried oyster mushrooms and the rose tteokbokki with added mushrooms. Guys gals and non-binary pals, this was absolutely DIVINE. The oyster mushrooms were delicious, the perfect level of greasey-friedness. The tteokbokki? Perfect. The serving was massive, and the spice hits so good. Highly highly recommend eating here if venturing to Seoul.
I grew up eating tteokbokki almost every day. This place has super delicious tteokbokki and i am so happy to have this place! They have many vegan options for tteokbokki, rice balls and fries. One of the places you must visit in seoul. Also you can buy uncooked tteokbokki if you want to cook it later from home. Great option for camping trips Updated from previous review on 2022-12-20
It’s so good, I didn’t believe that it’s vegan! Sometimes Koreans think vegetarian is vegan but no! Not this time. We asked and the owner explained how he makes the vegan dishes out of soymilk. He also told us it took time to get the dished certified vegan and that he will go abroad with the „Rose tteokbokki“ to get a price ? Not sure if I understood this right, please correct me if I’m wrong). You can order at a terminal in English and it shows the vegan options. You can choose how spicy, how sweet and how many noodles or ricecakes you want. I ordered the rose tteokbokki because of the reviews here and it was amazing!! Like… stunning! It tasted SO GOOD. I’m addicted now. And I forgot to take pictures! But since I’ll be going there now every week, there will come some soon
