Was Costanzo Caruso at Val Sinestra a mag?
sympathetic restaurant on imposing location, although not a gourmet temple, but ideal for a small hunger and great thirst after a small hike in this picturesque engadin side valley. a beautiful place. View all feedback.

We were curious to see this former Kur hotel tucked far away in the Sinestra valley. We decided to go there and maybe have some lunch. The hotel can be reached by car (the road is unpaved but very well accessible in summer.) There is also a bus service that runs a few times a day. However, parking the car in Sent and walking there is nice, too. It will take you about 1.5 hours. Although we'd been told the hotel is now in Dutch hands, we hadn't expected for so many Dutch guests to be there. It appeared the hotel was used for 'Art weeks' (painting, sculpting etc) and was frequented by a lot of (single?) Dutch women. The art teachers were a group of young Dutch (academy?) students. All in all it was a little too Dutch for my taste. The rösti we had was good and the mixed salad, too, although we asked for French dressing and got something else. Prices are very reasonable, especially for Switzerland. The hotel has lost some of its glory but you can still see it must have been grand in its days.

You've got a regular table ward, which is nice when you travel alone. That's how you get to know each other. And the food is good!

Oernature, fresh air, facial, beautiful walks. The house is a castle-freeness, simplicity and meeting place.
