Coco Steamboat 海底炉 is one of our favourite steamboat restaurant mainly because of its popular giant pork knuckle bone milky and creamy double stewed soup base. Our other favourite steamboat place is the Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant for its wine soup and wine lala. Another favourite steamboat restaurant is the Yuen Buffet Steamboat for its eat all you can concept and the honey-glazed chicken wing.
I love love love their pork bone soup, rich with flavour and what's best? I don't feel thirsty after drinking the soup and the meal, meaning no MSG (I guess) the ingredients were fresh enough surprisingly we didnt smell stinky afterwards..the staff there were friendly. They charge rm1 for every wet tissue used though, so remember to check your bill! Price wise can be a little on the pricey side but well, you get what you pay for
I have eaten here twice, and one of my favorite is their original soup base, coco double stewed soup. The soup has different taste with other steamboat restaurants, and I think this is the best steamboat I’ve ever had so far
I've heard of this place for years but never actually visited because it's at OKR where we hardly ever go to. It would be more appropriate to visit on weekends where traffic is not as heavy. Unfortunately they don't allow two types of broth such a pity. So I can only order their signature milky pork bone broth as I don't want the risk to try anything else.
Their pork bone soup base is so far the best soup base for steamboat compared to the soup base provides by other steamboat restaurants. Other than the set menu, we also ordered the pork shank, sliced pork 2 additional plates of fried bean curd skin rolls.
