Cafe Des Alpes - Selva Di Val Gardena

We dined here in September 2017 it was on a very cold evening but the welcome and ambiance was warming and the food excellent.

We found this cafe on the first day of our ski trip. We can thoroughly recommend it. The ginger and lavender tea was especially awesome.

This cafe is a delight with a selection of hot and cold drinks, freshly made pastries, desserts and food to order. I was especially delighted to find that they serve loose leaf tea! The local language in Selva is Ladinisch, but everyone in the cafe spoke English and didn't laugh at my attempts to order food and drink in German and/or Italian. Inside was lovely and warm, outside they provide blankets on cold days and we were able to sit outside in the sun in October. They make an excellent tiramisu, but be warned you may want to share it, it is huge!

With my wife we accidentally stopped for a quick breakfast after traveling for several hours. the strudel from their product was a real revelation, certainly the best that in the week spent in nature I could get. Congratulations!

Great their aperitif of the house! a pleasant stop in the center for selva quick and very nice service! good guys!
