Contribute Feedback What Karina C doesn't like about Alfonso's Carniceria Y Taqueria:
Used to be good but not anymore. Worst carnitas tacos in Selma, the carnitas are either undercooked or dry and flavorless. The salsas are not spicy and the onion is always soggy as if it was chopped a day prior. Customer service is bad as well, the workers are always in a bad mood and don’t give good service. Save yourself the trip and don’t go there. View all feedback.
The restaurant offers authentic Mexican cuisine that falls somewhere in between excellent and mediocre. The burrito is a good size, although it had a bit too much rice for my taste. You have the option to dine in or take out, and the staff is friendly. Parking can be a bit tight, and depending on the time of your visit, you might encounter a long line. I've been here twice—once for asada and once for carnitas—and both times, the meat lacked much flavor.
I hate to say it, but I ordered a burrito, and it was the worst one I've ever had. I won’t be returning, and the rice was hard as well.
"Make sure you know some Spanish before visiting this place. Otherwise, it's fantastic with excellent food! Rating: 5/5 for the food."
Best carnitas, chicharrones and menudo in town. Tacos and burritos are the so delicious.
