I visited this restaurant on 04/10/2023 around 4pm. I ordered fish and chips, sausage, and 3 scallops. I was concerned about the size of the regular fish as it looked small in the photo. The person serving me mentioned that the fish was sold by weight and assured me it was a regular size. Popped in at 17.30 today for sausage chips. The sausage was nice but the chips were awful. We couldn't decide if they had been sat there for ages or reheated. They were hard and not very nice to eat. Its the 2nd time we have visited the first time the chips were nice hot and freshly cooked) sorry there wont be a 3rd time
I bought 4 meals from this place, 3 meals were OK and the other meal had a hair in the chips
I ordered large battered sausage and chips when I got home there was a long hair in my chips? I'll not use again
*Reevaluated Review* Best fish and chips we've ever had. Chips fresh, fish and sausage perfectly battered, curry sauce second to none. And the lovely lady that served me was very polite. And the price was spot on. Abbey blows the local rival chippy out of the water! Your doing everything right. Bravo
I was SO disappointed I have had fish and chips from here many times and always good but yesterday the fish was terrible I had to hunt for the fish through a really thick batter It was like a sponge cake on the inside
