We dropped in for lunch as we drove the beautiful hilltop road between Chateau Hautefort and Brive and what a pleasant little terrace. Simple basic no frills menu, but fresh and served with a smile. It was certainly a bargain and we'd definitely go back. An interesting mix of tourists and locals. View all feedback.
What Leandro Costa doesn't like about Bar-Restaurant Nadine Borel:
Went for lunch with friends. Sat on the terrace above the cafe/tabac. Chose the 19 euro lunch. Started with a turreen of vegetable consomme, followed by starters of trout, wild boar ham, terrine and duck salad. Mains were steak au poivre, veal in a cream sauce and confit duck. We finished off with ice cream. A bottle of house red cost 7 euro. All the food was simple but well done and it felt like a real village restaurant. Total bill for four was 83 euro. Apparently they only seerve lunch Monday to Friday. No evening service.

We had our lunch there because we were visiting houses in the village and around. It looked like a typical local eatery/ truck stop style. And indeed, it was full of locals. We had the menu du jour on the terrasse. 12€ for a soup, a starter (melon and ham), a main course, cheese or dessert is a very good deal. All was homemade, simple and fresh. Busy atmosphere and a perfect view of the valley. We'll be back!
Kinderen nemen. Vriendelijk personeel - de lokale place to be. Leuk en lekker.
