What Naomi James likes about The Great Mogul:
Close to Maghull Station and the local busses, this is well worth a visit. Quality food and excellent value for money. Light Bites on the menu, for those with a smaller appetite. A pleasant, clean environment with friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Good real ales as well (added bonus) plus Beck 's Blue as a non-alcoholic option. As a Greene King Pub I 'm surprised they didn 't have the low-alcohol Old Speckled Hen ,... View all feedback. What Mohammed Lloyd doesn't like about The Great Mogul:

read moreA historical pub in Maghull, once full of character, has fallen short due to interior updates. The food is average at best, with a mixed grill receiving harsh criticism. However, the Mogul is hailed for its warm atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious Sunday lunches. Dishes like the roast beef and lamb impress, while the salt and pepper chips are recommended. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making for an overall pleasant experience. Breakfast before the races is also recommended, with fantastic food and attentive service. Despite some shortcomings, the Great Mogul remains a welcoming spot for a meal or drink.
