Redgate - Sefton

We have used this takeaway for a few years now but have now run out of patience. We will not use it again. The final straw was tonight. Cold curry and generally inconsistent food. You never know what you’re getting. The standard should be the same, or near enough the same. They don’t even come close anymore. Goodbye Redgate!

The food at this restaurant is exceptional and highly recommended. Known simply as "The Rod," it has earned praise from its peers. The chef, named Rod, has a special touch when it comes to cooking, much like his skill with the pool water at the Village hotel. Some have mentioned that the soup can be a bit lukewarm, leading to speculation that the chef might be infusing flavors from his local jacuzzi by serving it chilled and claiming it's the right temperature. It's a fantastic restaurant and it comes as no surprise that Rod chose to name it after himself. With the potential to earn Michelin stars, I can see The Rod Matthews restaurant becoming a staple on every high street, possibly becoming the go-to spot for seasoned diners.

For the first time in ages we had an Indian takeaway... Really enjoyed it. We asked for minimum oil and that's what we got. It came at the time we requested. We should do this more frequently!

The menu is superb and has interesting options. The delivery was prompt. This is the best Indian takeout in the area. Thank you to Hassan and his family!

By far my favourite place in Formby for Chicken Tikka Massala. It can always be relied upon. Paired with a Peshwari naan.
