Go here every time iam home from the USA as I stay in my sons who live near by. The food English or Chinese is always of good quality with large portions
I recently moved to the area and have visited Melling Fish Bar twice now, and I have nothing but good things to say. The owner is particularly friendly and welcoming. I have only tried the fish and chips and sausage and chips so far, but I am looking forward to trying their Chinese food this weekend as it looked delicious.
Best chippy ever. Meals are fab, great portion sizes and the staff are excellent, really friendly. Nothing too much for Si, goes up and above what is expected for his customers. Highly recommend.
The staff at this restaurant, particularly Terri, are miserable. The food is flavorless, overpriced, and the establishment is dirty. It reeks of cannabis outside. I have been given incorrect change multiple times, and the chips are the worst I've ever had - clearly reheated from the night before. My wife was even served the wrong meal with no apology. The portions are small and expensive, and the food hygiene is subpar. They consistently fail at delivery. Overall, the food is terrible and the staff are unprofessional.
