We stopped by for a quick lunch and were impressed with their soup and baguette special. The soup was flavorful and hearty, and the baguette was generously filled, accompanied by a side of salad and crisps. The service was friendly, and sitting at a table by the window, observing the bustling activity on Lord Street, made for a delightful dining experience. View all feedback.
What Sazzyjack doesn't like about Cafe Pierre:
The cafe promises so much with its pretty decor and interesting menu. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite deliver. We went at the start of service on a Saturday lunch time and they weren't serving half the savoury crepe menu, and had run out of ingredients for the nicoise salad. I don't feel the menu is extensive enough to be not serving a chunk of it on your busiest day off the week. When we managed to order something t... View all feedback.
Previously visited several years in a row fully enjoyed both the food the service. 2 out of 3 main courses arrived almost an hour after ordering when the restaurant has only 2 tables occupied. Food was cold lamb well done instead of pink. After complaining to a manager, no interim refreshments were offered he told us that there was a trainee chef working there were problems. Waited a further 30 minutes for replacement meals to arrive whilst more recent diners were prioritised with their ordered food. We had been working all day at the Southport Flower show simply wanted to eat get to bed. Instead our evening was ruined, my husband having to eat alone us having to wait an hour a half to eat. The food was disappointing had become very mediocre instead of excellent as it had always been. Hugely disappointing. As a consequence of such an awful experience, our bill was negated but we would have rather had the great food we normally enjoyed there. I believe the restaurant was in new hands so perhaps new management was responsible for the huge change of quality service. We will not return.
Excellent value for money. Menu Pierre 22.95 for 3 courses and glass of wine. Every course tasty and house red wine very nice.
Great food and lovely house wine, the table service however left a bit to be desired, our starter plates were not cleared and left till our main course was taken away, the bar service however was good, not over expensive for the quality of food
Fantastic menu and the room upstairs is available for small functions. It is beautifully decorated and has a lovely vibe.
