Nice cafe, delicious food and delicious wine. We have a problem with water. Our child was brought water that tasted like bleach or some other chemicals. When the water was replaced, it turned out to be just as tasteless. We were afraid that some chemical had gotten into the water and the child might get poisoned. But thank God this didn’t happen. I recommend that the administration take this issue under control. View all feedback.
What Reina Topliss doesn't like about The Hudson:
We came from out of town to have a getaway and decided to stop here to get something to eat because it really caught our attention! We were seated at a table outside where others had also been seated so we definitely weren’t forgotten about. We had sat out there for about 20-30 minutes and not once had someone come up to us to see if we were ready to order or what we’d like to drink. It would have been very understan... We decided to stop here for lunch before moving on to our next destination. So glad we chose this place! The food was delicious and the corn chowder is some of the best we’ve ever had! The seating outside was great with the background of the beautiful scenery of the natural rock in the distance. Absolutely recommend if you’re in the area for a short time!!
Great place with indoor and outdoor seating available. Food was fresh and delicious. Great customer service.
After doing so much research to find the best place for dinner on our 1 night in dinner we were disappointed. For the price point food was ok. We had the ahi tuna and bruschetta as appetizers. Both mediocre. Steak, butternut ravioli and chicken with fettuccine and artichokes. Service started out great but as meal was served the manager, waiter and chef seemed to be more interested in the basketball game at the bar than the full dining room. Once again , for the price, just not worth dining here.
This was the worst dining experience of my life. We had hair in our food TWICE. My boyfriend and I made reservations here for our Anniversary and Birthday Celebration. We had visited in 2023 and were impressed with the views and service we received, so we were excited to return. We made the reservations months in advance and put detailed notes about it being a special occasion for us, requesting a table with a view. Unfortunately, dinner started with the two of us being sat at a 6-top on the patio by the door, where one of us had to choose to have our back turned to the magnificent view. This was a major bummer. Given the occasion, and notes we provided, we assumed they would have reserved a table for two…not 6. It took a long time for a waiter to greet us and take our drink order, and even longer for them to actually bring us drinks. The service was slow all around. When we finally got our food my boyfriend found a long hair in his mashed potatoes. We patiently waited for our waitress to return so we could alert her to the problem but she never came. We decided to flag down a different employee who grabbed the plate and went back to the kitchen without an apology. Finally our original waitress came back and saw my boyfriend was sitting with no plate, she asked “oh no, what happened?” We let her know their was a hair in his food and she apologized and went to check on the new plate. I wanted to be polite and enjoy my anniversary dinner with my boyfriend, so I waited to eat my food until his new plate arrived. This took over 20 minutes, so my food was cold by the time his food arrived. The staff apologized and tried to make up for it by bringing us a complimentary ice cream. My boyfriend was about to dig in when he stopped and started laughing, then asked me if he was crazy. He pointed at a long hair entangled in the ice cream. We were both in disbelief and couldn’t believe it was possible. We alerted our waitress of the issue, she too was in disbelief and sent the ice cream back as well. She apologized and offered a replacement ice cream, but at this point we were both disgusted at the situation and thoroughly grossed out to the point that we just wanted to leave. The manager came out to apologize and comped my boyfriends meal. Truthfully, I feel as though our entire meal should have been comped after such an awful experience. We were let down from the minute we were seated, and the experience just got worse the longer we stayed. It was a big let down for our birthday and anniversary dinner, to say the least. Sadly we will never ever return back to The Hudson and I cannot recommend it to anyone. There are far better restaurants in Sedona.
Really cool atmosphere and gorgeous view! Service was excellent and our meals were fantastic!
