This restaurant is fantastic! When we visited, it was quite busy, which caused a slight delay with a few of the dishes we ordered. However, the food was genuinely outstanding. I can't wait to come back next time!

Absolutely sensational service. Very accommodating staff and owners. Very down to earth people. Couldnt express my quality of the food made there. The head chef has done an exceptional job, with the purchasing of local products to create his menu. Thank you for everything #10/10
A gauge of the level of respect a restaurant has for food is the quality of the kids menu. For $12 the best kids “fish and chips” and ice cream for your children. We will definitely be back.
We had dinner here Friday night and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was to die for! And the setting was stunning. We will be back for sure. Thank you for having us

The portion sizes are very small for an adult. The staff is not particularly accommodating when requests for changes are made. For an average of $37, customers expect a decent meal, not to leave feeling hungry. The child's meal, which costs $19, included just five chips, a tiny piece of fish, and yes, three small scoops of ice cream.
I absolutely loved the sashimi kingfish and the lamb shell, while others were thrilled with the roo carpaccio. The dark chocolate dessert was a standout as well. I shared that with a friend, but we were tempted into ordering more. I won't wait decades to come back!
What a gem in Second Valley. Had the Taste of the Fleurieu today at Leonards Mill. Couldn't find fault with anything from the time we arrived. Staff very attentive able to describe the menu beautifully. I started with the Pork Belly, very generous serve. Then onto the Kangaroo Island Lamb Neck. Once again a generous serve beautiful presentation (I didn't want to mess up the plate). My husband started with the Smoked Kingfish Sashimi WOW WOW. Once again presentation faultless. His final choice was the Beef onglet. Showcases so much local produce how lucky are we in the Fleurieu to have such wonder array of fine cheeses, olive oil. We came for a birthday treat, and as we were staying the night, did the 6 course tasting menu with matched wines. A delicious showcase of the best local ingredients, very well put together, prepared with great pride, attention to detail and creative flair. When the owner himself comes out to serve the wine and tell stories about where things come from, you know you're onto a good thing. A gem of a place. Definitely worth the drive and also worth staying locally rather than driving back to Adelaide afterwards!
