The sanitary facilities are clean but seem a little old due to the overall rusticity, but that doesn't detract from a good sense of well-being. For us the only minus is the extra money for a warm shower. 50 cents for 5 minutes doesn't hurt your wallet, but it's still not appropriate. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back because the overall package is just right. Rooms: The rooms are functional, clean and rustic. More than enough power sockets and the mattresses are comfortable. Food drinks: The food in the restaurant is good. The food is fresh and regional, and the landlady herself bakes the cake of the day. The breakfast is enough to fortify yourself for hiking tours. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Kid-friendly

We stayed at Ottendorfer Hütte on our 3rd day hiking the Malerweg. We had to walk off the Malerweg a little bit to get here, but it was well worth it! The cabin was so cozy, the food was delicious and the setting is just amazing. Highly recommended!
Good bunk room for 4 adults walking the Malerweg. We were given good instructions on finding our room and the bed linen we had booked was there. Bea had told us to bring 50 cents each for a shower which lasted 5 minutes. Breakfast was good fresh rolls, meat, cheese and jam with cereal.
The staff Is really kind and smart. We are doing Malerweg and they were very helpful also suggesting beautiful ideas for the trekking. The dinner and breakfast were really good. The bathroom was very clean.
