One of my all time favorite spots around town. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else on the peninsula. Shelburne is beautiful inside and out, a quiet, intimate setting with just the right amount of class that doesnt make you feel out of place dressed casually. The garden is beautiful, I could easily lose an afternoon enjoying the view with a drink on my own or with a friend. If you're visiting the peninsula this is a spot you dont want to miss.
Delicious food and drinks. Incredible staff. One of the few restaurants with outdoor seating that allows dogs. Highly recommend.
Delicious! I had the Chicken Confit. The entree was big chicken rendered in duck fat with peas, mushrooms, pickled onions, and micro greens. There were other meals at my table, spanikopita and a burger. Everyone liked their food.
We were here on a Tuesday when many restaurants are closed. The indoor seating was well-spaced but we choose to sit in the outdoor patio. Service was excellent and the food very good. It’s a bit pricey for sure, but given few options for nice places in Long Beach, especially mid-week, we felt lucky to find it. Very enjoyable meal, service and atmosphere. Long Beach is not especially Covid-aware (The ice cream shop, Scoopers, has a sign on its window saying “Masking is your choice!” , so I appreciated that the Shelburne follows all CDC recommendations as well as state regulations.
Lovely food but tiny portions for high prices. I paid 30 bucks for 3oz of miso grilled fish, 5oz of green beans and a tablespoon of pickles mushrooms. 6 bucks for two slices of bread. Tasty but for that price and lack of food, no thanks.
Nestled in Long Beach, this hotel pub offers a mix of experiences that leave diners divided. While some appreciate the abundance of vegan options and the upscale flair of the food, others lament the inconsistent service and communication issues among staff. Many praise the delightful garden setting and shareable small plates, highlighting dishes like pan-fried oysters and Korean fried wings. However, reports of poor customer service and miscommunication have left a lasting impression on some visitors. Overall, it’s a hidden gem worth exploring, but prospective diners should manage their expectations regarding service and reservations.

Had a nice dinner. roasted sourdough, tempora spargel, garnelensalat and a beer of continued care. it filled with French press coffee and chocolate-floorless cakes.
Disgusting food ? (my experience from a year ago was removed)Chicken was old and tasteless, even the dog wouldnt eat it.Mac and cheese was horrible, kraft is WAY better even.We got more food, $75 couldnt eat ANY of it.
We ordered 3 fish and chips and two burgers. The fish was served as one big piece, because of this it did not cook althe way thru so some of the batter was perfect and the rest was a soggy soft mess. The burgers were bland. The sauce on the burgers was bland. For a $110.00 meal plus tip this was not worth it at all. Avoid the food.
Waitress told me to order a drink from the bartender, bartender was too busy talking to a couple at the bar and ignored me. People entering after me were getting served by waitress and I hadn’t been acknowledged. Very odd. Came in to tour the hotel for our next planned stay but maybe the place is a bit too full of itself..? It’s beautiful but they make you feel like you’re putting them out by being there.
The atmosphere was amazing and the food was great. Heads up if the reservation system tells you there is no availability, call the restaurant to check. It told us there was no availability for days. I called and they were able to seat us right away. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly.

Loved this place! Super reasonable rates when I was there mid October. Wonderful, helpful front desk staff and smooth check in (with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine?? . I chose the least expensive room ... And it's perfect. It has a sweet balcony with a table and chairs, and the room has nice amenities (robes, wine glasses, nice bath products . I made a snap decision to book this place, and wasn't sure what I'd find but I feel like I lucked out. If I find myself in the area again, I will definitely stay here!
We just had drinks in the pub. A good selection of brews and some delicious cocktails. The waitstaff and bartenders were very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. A great place to have a drink with friends.
Wow! Don?t make any mistakes when booking with this place! I booked for one day difference accidentally. ONE day off. They kept my money and wouldn?t change my reservation to the literal following day. I called within 60 seconds of making that reservation realizing I had made the mistake immediately. Ungodly horrible customer service. I didn?t want money back, I just wanted my reservation moved one day. Don?t stay here. People that treat people like this shouldn?t be in business. Also, I never have written a bad review in my life as I am in the service industry as well. Note to the owner/manager, unfortunately people like the one who answered the phone after 5 phone calls, on 9/30/22, shouldn?t be customer facing. Zero compassion from her. Didn?t try to offer solutions or anything. Just washed her hands and said nothing I can do! I was really excited to stay at your place too. ??
We didn't stay here, but did dine here for lunch. Hidden gem of Long Beach. Uncrowded, elegant, lovely garden dining. Fantastic food with an upscale flair and craft cocktails. The pan fried oysters were done in crispy cornmeal and cooked to perfection. Also ordered Korean fried wings, PNW cheese plate and clams. The small plate items are sized to share between two or three and we were plenty stuffed when we left.
Lots of creaks in the floor, and slanting stairs remind you of this buildings age, but it has charm to go right along with it. The earplugs on your pillow remind you of it's proximity to highway 101. The food is wonderful, and there are lots of neat places to tuck yourself away from everyone and enjoy time together

I recommend calling ahead to ensure they can accommodate you. They do welcome children, but have limited seating for them. The fish and chips were delicious! The batter was crispy and flavorful, making it a delightful dish.
I visited this restaurant early in the evening the other day. Since it was off-season, there were only a few other patrons at the tables. The service was exceptional,...
This restaurant deserves 5 stars in every category. The service is outstanding, the atmosphere is absolutely adorable, and it's a beloved local landmark. We didn't order a lot of food, but...
