What User doesn't like about Third Avenue Cafe:
Third Ave Cafe is a hidden gem! While the prices are similar to other places, the quality is much better. The breakfast burrito with eggs, hash browns, and cheese is absolutely fantastic. Presentation matters, so I would recommend adding a pop of color with some parsley or tomatoes. The service is friendly and laid-back, and the restaurant is very clean. I will definitely be back! This is the best spicy teriyaki I've ever had—no doubt about it. It's so good that it's honestly addictive!
We accidentally discovered this café while wandering through the neighborhood, and it turned out to be a truly delightful experience. It's a charming mom-and-pop establishment run by the sweetest couple who have been in business for over 15 years. They took the time to recommend their favorite local shops and restaurants, steering us away from the tourist traps, and made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. We probably chatted their ears off, but they happily shared their stories and experiences with us. We didn’t want to leave! After seeing that their spicy teriyaki and chipotle chicken panini were popular among other customers, we decided to give them a try, and we were thrilled with our choice. The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the portions were generous—we were so full that we had to cancel our original lunch plans, haha! If you have the chance, I highly recommend checking this place out!
The muffins for breakfast are wonderfully fresh, and the coffee is excellent too!
The teriyaki chicken special is the star. Probably the best I’ve ever had in the world. Add to that, a historic looking building, squeaky clean interior, happy go lucky owners… cannot give a stronger recommendation to check out this hidden gem if you are in downtown Seattle. Open for 18 years they say so you know they perfected their craft. ATTN Asians, this hits the spot for that umami taste you miss from home.
