Taki's Mad Greek - Seattle

This restaurant prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction and community well-being. The food is delicious, but the presence of aggressive police officers in the neighborhood tarnishes the dining experience. The dishes seem to lack care and love in their preparation. I would recommend trying out the Greek food at other restaurants in town instead.

I am extremely perplexed by the glowing reviews for this restaurant. The food and service are both subpar. The food was below average and the service was incredibly slow. It took 45 minutes to receive 2 gyro sandwiches, despite there being only one table occupied during this time. The customers at that table appeared to be regulars or family members, as they were on a first-name basis with the host. One of the guests even went directly into the kitchen to retrieve a spoon that had fallen on the floor, which is a health code violation, especially during Covid times. Additionally, the gyros I ordered were soggy, cold, and unappetizing, with an overpowering tzatziki sauce. The chicken was overcooked, cold, and bland, as if it had been reheated from a frozen state without any seasoning. Overall, this restaurant left me feeling disappointed and I ended up throwing away most of my meal. It's a place that I will not be returning to.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and truly authentic! I especially enjoy their Greek fries. The owners have been active members of the Ballard community for many years and are friendly and welcoming individuals.

I am filled with regret for not capturing a picture of the Chicken Souvlaki Salad. I will be praising it for the rest of my days. This meal, or rather salad, was one of the finest I have ever tasted. I never knew tzatziki could be so fresh. The tomato was perfectly ripe and cut upon ordering (unlike many other places with soggy and mealy ones). The servings were more than plentiful. I am eagerly anticipating my next opportunity to savor it once more!

I'm not usually a fan of Greek cuisine, but this restaurant serves delicious dishes. The owner is very friendly and the service is fantastic.
