That said, I was greatly rewarded by the owner himself slightly ornery, but rightly so! Had the halibut chips along with a splendidly fresh Greek salad! Excellent food, wonderful service, and perfect beach atmosphere!

Like most people, I read reviews before going places and I saw someone talk about soggy fries and rude service, and we took a chance and decided quality fish was more important. I have to tell you, not only were the fries perfect and thick and gorgeous (as I show in my photos), but the two men who I assume own the restaurant were so kind and friendly! We chatted a bit with him when it died down and enjoyed our dinner watching the sunset. The fish was crisp on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside, really beautiful. We all loved the coleslaw too, it was flavorful and not wet like some coleslaws we’ve had. And oh my goodness, you need to get the chowder! I am from New England and I have to tell you, this is as close as you can get to the real thing around here. Wow!Also, sustainable practices are really important to us and we were so grateful to see them using compostable bowls, spoons and serving dishes! Especially being so close to the water, and on Earth in general, we really appreciate your proactive decisions!Thank you so much for a great experience! We can’t wait to come back!

I ordered the combination meal with halibut, shrimp, oysters and fries. The fish and shellfish were cooked perfectly and had great flavor, the fries were a little overdone but had good flavor. Overall, I was satisfied with the food I did ordered, except for the side of coleslaw that wasn’t very good. There were out of a lot of things unavailable, like scallops and iced tea. I had to order what was available. Also, they could not take American Express cards. The food was good, as well as the location. If you are looking for fish and chips, this is a good spot.

Tha... read more I rarely post reviews, but I had to say this was the perfect fish and chips experience! I grew up on the coast of Maine and I'm VERY picky about my seafood. That said, I had the halibut and chips. Very light breading on the fish, and super fresh. Fries were perfect. I received 3 slices of lemon, which totally won me over since I love to soak my fish in lemon. But then, the tartar sauce was perfect too! There are a lot of ways for fish and chips to go wrong heavy batter, no lemon, bad tartar sauce, bad fish but in my book this place avoided them all and theirs was spot on delicious. Sitting outside, enjoying the view of Alki beach was just an added bonus! I almost felt like I was back in Maine, and that's the best compliment I can give any seafood restaurant! Go get yourself some terrific seafood!
