Was Philip Haas at S/t Hooligans a mag?
I ordered the gumbo to-go. While it's a bit pricey for the portion size, the flavor is outstanding. The meat is delicious, and the dish is packed with rich flavors. I do wish they would include a little more bread to complement the amount of gumbo provided. View all feedback.
Treat yourself to a meal and drinks at this restaurant. Everything is made from scratch, including the mixers! I highly recommend the SpiSeatte Chicken Sandwich, especially when paired with the Gris Margi. The Jalapeño Cheddar Hush Puppies were perfectly sweet with a hint of spice. My boyfriend really enjoyed his adobo pork sandwich. To top it all off, we had the tropical tiramisu for dessert. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely return to Seattle just for the delicious food!
The best Cajun cuisine in Seattle! The gumbo is fantastic, along with the hush puppies, fried chicken sandwich, and the brisket sandwich, which is absolutely delicious! I can't wait to return and sample what appears to be an amazing bar!
For food, we ordered the gumbo and BBQ brisket sandwich, both of which were absolutely delicious! The service was prompt, and the staff frequently checked to see if we needed anything. We also enjoyed their desserts—a tropical tiramisu and seasonal bread pudding—which were both fantastic. I highly recommend this place!
Great fried chicken, but that 's all I found here. Be warned the spicy versions of their dishes are pretty spicy. *Not a good date spot*: the food will make you sweat, and the food will probably end up on your clothes due to the undersized plates and sandwiches requiring unhinging your jaw. The pork sandwiches are overpriced for what they are inferior to the chicken sandwiches. The fermented cocktails might be trendy, but they 're not better than regular cocktails. The outside decor and construction is very cheap and uncomfortable. Tables that you can put your legs under, and adding back supports to the patio fence you sit against would be great . The inside climate control system needs serious upgrades. The ventilation fan to the kitchen is extremely loud on the patio and undersized for the kitchen. Hope this helps because this place could be really good but it just isn 't there yet.
Went to Ice Box Arcade in the afternoon and wanted to move to a HH spot. S/T Hooligans happened to be a short walk away and highly rated on Google and Yelp. We only went for cocktails but boy do I wish we went for more based on the food we saw coming out. It looked delicious! But back to the drinks, their fermented cocktails are so unique and the one I got, Dark and Stormy, is a top 5 cocktail I’ve ever had. I wish I didn’t have to drive later that night otherwise I would’ve tried another. Definitely a lesser known gem in Seattle, I’d highly recommend a visit.
