Beautiful oysters, the best halibut we've EVER had and THAT PIE! Coconut Cream Pie and Pecan Pie to die for!!! It is so hard to find a restaurant that you can have a pleasant conversation in these days without feeling like you have to lean in and yell at your date or strain to hear if you are on the receiving end. Not the case here. It was such a refreshing change of pace to be able to sit comfortably and have a conv... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Seatown Rub Shack Fishfry:
The clam chowder was very good, but the rest of our meals were disappointing. I had a chicken pot pie that was OK but my S.O. 's halibut was way overcooked and very dry granted, halibut is a delicate fish, but we expected more from a Douglas restaurant. Wait staff were very friendly but not particularly knowledgeable about their fare. Not sure I would use the term ambiance but it was comfortable and casual. View all feedback.
Great location across from the 2 town poles in the park. Great casual vibes of ordering at counter and seating yourself. Snagged an outfit table in a sunny 80 degree day! Lived it! Food tasted great and was served fast.
Top 3 fish and chips I 've had. The fish and the chips come with a rub dusted on them which is interesting, I 've never had fish with a finishing seasoning on it, but it complimented it very well and didn 't make it a different dish. Fish was obviously very fresh and overall it wasn 't too expensive. My wife doesn 't like fish at all but tried a small piece and actually didn 't mind it, so that 's saying a lot. She got the chicken sandwich and it was also very tasty as well. It somehow had the taste of fried chicken while being grilled.
Everything was delicious and service was very fast (a mixed approach of QR codes and old fashioned waitstaff seems to work for them . It 's crowded (location, location! . The portions were on the small side and almost everything came with the rub that was a little much at times. Variety of seating options, including outdoors. We 'll be back!
I didn’t have any complaints about this place! The wife and I ate outside. If you are a people watcher then sit outside. My clam chowder was delicious. The wife didn’t care for her fish tacos. She felt it wasn’t cooked the traditional way. From seeing the plates of fish and chips being served, she wished she would have order that. As for the service? I felt they were professional and friendly. I would go back again but this time the wife and I will stay away from the fish tacos.
Good food. A little pricey. Fish and chips had one of their signature rubs so was unique. Black current and apple cider was a good complement. The line outside then inside was confusing. Friendly service. Got our food almost right away. Cool atmosphere.
