Was David Stratman at Rain Cafe a mag?
This is a hidden gem! Well, it was hidden to me, at least . It 's a storefront outside the Asian Family Market, with access also inside the market entrance corridor, near 125th and Aurora Ave N. I got the Brazilian latte which was similar to a vietnamese coffee bit different enough to say I 've found a new 'treat yourself ' coffee. I also splurged and got fried tofu (solid but not flavored I 'm used to) and the lemon... View all feedback.
What Victoria Ang dislikes about Rain Cafe:
I go to rain often for my favorite, the sweetheart tea with grass jelly. We loved them so much we had them cater our baby shower! The communication, ordering and delivery/pick-up was so easy. We thank you so much for your service! View all feedback.
Just bad food. We ordered 2 bobas, 1 poke bowl, 1 katsu curry, 1 popcorn chicken. It took about 20 minutes to get the food to go. They prepared the bobas immediately then left them behind the counter until our entrees were ready. By the time the entrees were ready condensation had formed on the outside of the cups. The ice had melted considerably at that point, the teas were not very cold. That was not the worst of it. The poke bowl, had COOKED salmon!?!? Like really???!!! I did not realize until I got home. It was terrible and drenched in a sauce that looked like spicy mayo but just tasted like heavy miracle whip. They didn’t provide much curry. I was bummed until I tasted it. The katsu was soggy. The popcorn chicken was crispy and passable. But when I asked for a sauce they only had ketchup to offer. Total cost was $51 plus tip. Will not return.
I love getting the Unagi-don here, the atmosphere when I would eat was always welcoming and light. Always a good place to grab a quick bite.
Tapioca is not soft, hard to chew! I ordered light ice but half of the cup was filled with ice!!
