I visited Piroshki on a Friday morning looking forward to some Russian food. The store lives up to their name with a large selection of piroshki, but they also have a large selection of cakes and pastries as well. The smoked salmon and beef and cabbage piroshki were delicious. Probably some of the best I've ever had. The smoked salmon piroshki was especially memorable because of it's great balance of smoked salmon an... View all feedback.
What Ritika Rao doesn't like about Piroshki On Madison:
This is mostly pickup spot, although it has limited seating. I tried the potato broccoli and cheese, which was primarily potato. The piroshki stuffing is well seasoned, it reminded me of food I've had in Europe. The cheese is good quality as well, and the dough is soft and melt in your mouth.I think they could go a little light on the egg wash, the smell is overpowering. The service is great, the family baked and runs... Don’t walk. Run to this shop!!Kind, competent, fast service. The piroshkis are delicious, the dough is perfect and fresh. The coffee is strong and tasty. Prices are good. Overall, way better than the touristy place on Pike Place. : . Strongly recommended!!
Delicious piroshki and a VERY wide variety to choose from!
This is the go-to spot for pastries! I sampled the walnut roulette and the vatrushka, both of which were absolutely delicious! I've also tried their piroshkis in the past and loved them. It's a fantastic place to grab some goodies to enjoy with your afternoon coffee on the go!
I am a big fan of the salmon piroshki from Piroshky Piroshky in Pike Place Market. However, the salmon piroshki I had at this restaurant did not meet my expectations. I would have to give it a 2 out of 5 rating. The piroshki seemed to have been reheated in the microwave and quickly toasted in the oven. It was warm on the outside but cold on the inside. I was surprised to find a large block of cream cheese inside, with only a small amount of salmon. The ratio of cream cheese to salmon was not great, and I found myself getting big bites of cream cheese. The bread surrounding the filling was soft, airy, and bland, lacking a crisp toasted exterior or sweetness. Additionally, the piroshki was smaller and more expensive than the ones at Piroshky Piroshky. Overall, I was dissatisfied with my experience, especially considering the high reviews I had seen.
I had never tried a piroshki before visiting this restaurant. The food was delicious and freshly made every day. I have tried various flavors such as sausage roll, turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, chicken broccoli, and more. Everything I have tried has been really tasty with soft dough. Despite trying other places afterwards, nothing compares to the flavor and variety found here. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat if you are in the area.
