Great place if you are looking for takeout as it is very small inside and no room to eat. I do wish they have you a little more rice with your meal, but besides that, they made up for that with large meat portions when I ordered generals chicken. Tasted great and will be back again! What David McDonough doesn't like about New China Express:
Beef was very chewy and not crispy. We’re good for the Mongolian beef very chewy. It was weird. The sweet-and-sour chicken was OK. It’s pretty OK. The beef fried rice was good though steamed rice was good but honestly not good food for the price. I think the chef needs to work on his recipes. View all feedback.
So, so, SO happy to see New China Express is open again!! I've been missing their veggie hand shaven noodles like nothing else for the last year or so they are an absolute must buy, genuinely one of the tastiest dishes I have ever eaten. I also got the salt and pepper tofu HUGE portion, had enough to share and some for leftovers. This was also delectable crispy, slightly spicy, savory, and served with garlic and green onions. My partner got the szechuan chicken which they ate gleefully (I don't eat meat so I can't say how good it was, but they really enjoyed it). Everything was piping hot, fresh and ready SO fast!! Delighted that NCE is open again go support this local gem right now!!
Excellent food!! So many choices. The owners are very nice and the service is quick. A hidden gem for sure.
Hand shaven noodles are so good! Crab cheese is also delicious. Vegetables fried rice tasted so fresh. Price was good for portion. Authentic Chinese food! Glad to find a good place with late open hours.
New to area. Great food with a huge portion. Value is so worth it. Very friendly. Worth the stop to order take out and take it home.
Been ordering takeout from here for years, ever since they first opened. Quality can sometimes fluctuate, but always good. But last Friday night, around 6:30pm picked up a kung pao tofu and shrimp barley hand shave noodles, and both were incredibly well made! Perfect textures and flavors. Don't know if it was a different cook or what.
