Amazing quality and selection of beans! The staff are lovely. My main feedback is that it’s SUCH a premium price that the to-go cups for everything really takes away from the experience. (Also.. wasteful. A beautiful, locally made set of ceramic ware plus sidecars for espresso drinks and other small touches would make the price tag feel more warranted. Tucked beneath the Aurora Bridge in Fremont, Milstead Co. is everything I want in a third-wave coffee shop — thoughtful, restrained, and quietly excellent. The space is minimalist but warm, with Scandinavian tones and just enough bustle to feel alive without overwhelming. The baristas here are serious about their craft but never pretentious. My pour-over (a washed Ethiopian from Heart Roasters) had a citrusy brightness and clarity I rarely find outside Tokyo or Copenhagen. They rotate roasters frequently, which speaks to both taste and confidence. For those who appreciate precision in their coffee and a break from the corporate-feel cafés downtown, this is the spot. A must-visit for coffee purists visiting Seattle. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Best coffee spot in Fremont in my opinion! Coffee is always great and staff are nice and have good suggestions. Pastries are also awesome! Great atmosphere and cool overall vibe. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I visited a well-known coffee shop that offers pastries from Temple, including croissants and a variety of other treats from Macrina. I tried a cardamom brioche, and it was absolutely delicious!
