I visited the restaurant for dinner last night and started off in the bar area. The waiter was really friendly. A few menu items weren't available because they had run out, but I really enjoyed the orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, and beef with broccoli. They were packed with flavor and tasted wonderful. What Stephanie Christianson doesn't like about Gim Wah:
My partner and I recently moved to Magnolia and wanted to explore the local dining options. We decided to try Gim Wah next, and it turned out to be a big mistake. We ordered takeout and ended up waiting for about 10 minutes after arriving at the restaurant. Once we got home just 5 minutes later, the food was barely warm. Everything felt stale, and the only dish I could manage to eat was the fried rice, which was stil... View all feedback.
Best Mongolian Beef ever...won't beat it. Take away container works for the park, beach...road trip, Perfect. Thanks Allen....it is always a stop for me when I'm in SEA and it consistently great.
In response to 'Braintrainr '.... <br/ WOW!!! I 've never heard such a pathetic excuse for a palate. If you don 't like someplace, that 's one thing. <br/ To bash a place that has been in Seattle for probably longer than you 've been alive shows your ignorance. <br/ As far as the food... I 've never had a bad meal, and you can ask to have it made anyway you want with no complaint from staff. They encourage it. <br/ Show me one of 'your special little favorite places that will do that for you '. <br/ As far as the beverage selection...If you came here more than once with your negative frame of mind... You could ask for your favorite beverage to be stocked and it 's done! Not to mention, your NOT paying $10 for a 1/2 pour drink with a pretty umbrella. <br/ The pours are great the price is better than most!<br/ *Gim Wah* is a warm local place that anyone is welcome and friended. <br/ So 'Mr. Mr. ' please bring your negative self in for more than the five minutes you spent here to boost your pseudo critic status and sit a spell. The rest of us would like to get to know you before you condemn us all. Your always welcome. Maybe you could come in for one of the several days during the year the owner feeds everyone for free to give back to the community. <br/ Or go on a visit with him and take food, when one of the patrons are not well or had an injury. <br/ I 'm sure your that type of a compassionate person. <br/ Yeah, I 'm sure of it. <br/ To the rest of you out there.... <br/ Just ask one of the folks that have eaten here for the last 40 years!
Best Chinese food around exclamation-point period.<br/ <br/ Mongolian Beef and Gim fried rice can't be beat.
Food was drowning in cooking oil, the dining room smells of pee and mildew.I've heard the bar is okay (no personal experience) but this dining experience was...... something.Oh yeah, we also saw dead cockroaches in the entrance.I recommend eating here so you can see what I'm talking about.
My son and I loved our dishes : they were perfect and delicious. Also, we received excellent service
