What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about China Harbor:
This was my first visit to the restaurant. The service was good and the view was beautiful. Unfortunately, I found the food to be bland and not true to authentic Chinese flavors. It may be able to deceive non-Chinese customers, but I have had much more authentic Chinese food elsewhere in town. View all feedback.
Ok to be fair, I am from vancouver bc and had not expected to be culinary joy in seattle, especially if my niece insisted on us from the international district and the lake union. hmmmm! drove up to this rather impressive but rather simple entrance and I was very pleasantly surprised how many and how cheap parking there are. I went up and went to the rzzie and was blown away immediately, how fabulous the one was in sight. this is seattle at its best bright sunshine and yet temperate weather. the bright sunshine shows the time of the decoration and the frightening of the terrible dirty windows, which is such a scandal for such a magnificent view. perhaps too much rain until recently and so they had no chance to clean them? eating. Oh, my God! I must say I never expected such good food in seattle! my niece told me that her chef chef is a very well-known and is practically a proministrator in the seattle culinary scene. impressive eating, very well presented and deeelicious! and at the price, I am used in Canadian prices and when converted into cad$ seems a bit on the expensive side. but my midday companions told me that there was nothing outdated for seattle and very in tune with other similar places without the additional bonus of views. in any case a place I would recommend my Vancouver friends who are planning to go down to avoid some disappointments in seattle.
Dimsum was good for lunch. sticky reis w/lobster was the best. I also liked salted egg queestard for dessert
This is one of the best restaurants in the whole opposite of seattle. they have a large selection, fast service and cheap prices. I recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. it is family-friendly and has a beautiful view of the lake.
Before visiting this place, I adjusted my expectations on the condition and cleanliness of the building. I also adjusted my expectations on service, as the number of servers to the size of the space was very imbalanced. With those expectations adjusted, I enjoyed my dim sum here. I highly recommend ordering the Peking Duck, truffle shiu mai, and honey walnut prawns. The steamed dumplings were ok. The views of lake union were a nice bonus. Overall, I turned a blind eye to the crumbling facilities and slow service, and just enjoyed the food and views. That made me enjoy it enough to want to return for weekend dim sum.
Good food but the bathroom looks like a crime scene (except crime scenes eventually get cleaned up. Decor needs update. Ceiling tiles are ridiculous.
