Great food presentation! One gets hungry just entering the restaurants with all the aromas. We also brought our own wine which the owner recognized and chatted with us on. People and service very friendly and the ambiance is perfectly cozy! View all feedback.
What Zane Pfeffer doesn't like about Carnivore:
Overall it was a great experience. The ribeye, alas, was over done; it was difficult to cut and difficult to chew. Disappointing for a place that is literally named 'Carnivore ' and charges premium prices. It was tasty, nevertheless. The sides, however, were superb! I will definitely return. View all feedback.
We went there for my husband's birthday because he believed a steak. We sat down and started looking over the menu, ordered drinks and had decided what we wanted when the waiter came to take our order. Before we had ordered, the server asked if we had heard what he was doing. We didn't, so he told us. They were made of 2/5 large plates, one of the NY strips Steak, and 1/5 of the small plates. For a restaurant that has only about 15 options between appetizers, small and large plates, this seemed kind of ridiculous, especially on a Saturday night around 8. We wanted to go with the NY strip, so it was regrettable they were out. Also, the only other steak option left the ribeye for $20 more than the NY strip price. We just got the small plate Steak Morsels. The food we finished ordering was good, but nothing against it to blow the price. Overall the service was really good and the server was really pleasant, the drinks were great, but the food and experience were disappointing.
We had a wonderful meal and experience at Carnivore. We did the chefs tasting menu and highly recommend it. Chef Michelle was friendly, knowledgeable and had a genuine passion for paleo cooking. We can’t wait to return!
Delicious and authentic. We'll be coming back here regularly. Try the drunken mushroom side dish! The elk meatballs were also great.
My friend and I were there for brunch. She ordered grapefruit juice, but she complained the juice had been kept in the refrigerator too long and it had fridge smell . It was supposed to be freshly squeezed. She had veggies and bacon and I had veggies and eggs. Her bacon was covered in bacon fat that had cooled down into a film on the bacon. She did not like it and got up to get napkins to scrub the fat off the bacon. I ordered my eggs over-medium and I got eggs over-well done. The potatoes in our veggie mix were hard nand underdone. The veggie plates were greasy. Our plates were $16.00 each. Overall, not worth it. I will not return.
Every time I go to Carnivore, I am impressed. They stay true to delivering on their commitment to sustainable, farm-to-table paleo-inspired creations. Always changing with the seasons, their menu continues to evolve making the dining experience always one of a kind. Blending land and sea, Carnivore is a must check out destination.
