The staff so beautiful and service us well, the view is also great here, the most seat has window view Whic is really nice on sunny day. Seafood is fresh and tasty, the food size is full of us. Only one thing that is the open time on both website and Google wrong, so we have here twice. It will be better to update the information for people who have a short visit.
We went here to search for a place that Happy Hour oysters and found this place hidden in the Pike Place Markets. We decided to try a series of happy hour dishes including oysters and would definitely recommend the curry mussels/cams and the spicy golf puzzles. The sauce was delicious, seafood was fresh! I am looking forward to coming back and having this again!
Absolutely worth waiting. We sat upstairs with a view of the pier and the giant wheel. We shared the giant king's crab legs, and my child ordered the fish and chips. The food was so good and we didn't know this was the infamous Sleepless in Seattle restaurant that Tom Hanks and Rob Reiner ate in the movie. Great fun!
Breaked for lunch during the Tour Pike Place Market. We sat up quickly (less than 10 minutes). Order the fried shrimps with pommes and Slavs. It was an enormous part, with 12 very large shrimps. I might have expected half that much for the price. The shrimps were incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, and I appreciated that they removed the tails, which they were easy to eat. The bread was crispy and tasty, the frits made perfect, and the hover was crunchy, with the perfect amount of dressing. Our server was attentive to checking on us and providing beverage refills. Very recommended, this was a third of the price of another seafood place that we ate during our vacation in Seattle, and definitely better in quality, serving size and service!
We stumbled into the Athenian at lunch time. We were in Pike Place Market and were hungry. Posted menu looked good and solid Google reviews. So we gave it a try. Glad we did. Halibut special (in spicy cream sauce) was delicious and my 12 year old said that the clam chowder was in the top 3 he ever had (and he has had a few). Sat at a small booth at the windows where we could watch the ferries and air traffic. Nice service too. I’d go back.
