Hinze's Barbeque Catering
Description
Hinze's BBQ has become a culinary staple for many eager patrons, drawing both locals and visitors alike with its promise of delicious barbecue. While some diners sing praises for the standout kartoffelsalat and moist fried chicken, others have expressed disappointment over declining brisket quality and the occasional lackluster service. Complaints about rude cashiers and underwhelming meat portions have surfaced, contrasting sharply with tales of delightful experiences from the past. Despite these inconsistencies, the restaurant still garners affection for its diverse menu, including specialties like redfish and coconut cream pie, ensuring it remains a mixed but beloved destination.

On November 1, 2024, I placed an order for BBQ chicken ribs, but instead received fried chicken ribs. After discussing the issue with the manager, he contacted the owner, who insisted that the order was for fried chicken. I believe this situation could have been handled more effectively or resolved in some way. If I wanted fried chicken, I have plenty of other options available—like Chicken Express, Hart's Fried Chicken, Bush Chicken, Brookshire Brothers, Popeyes, KFC, Church's, and others. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $100+ Food: 1/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 1/5
A coworker and I arrived in town ready for lunch. We ate at a different BBQ place yesterday and figured to check this one out too. Not being from here we let the gentleman behind us go ahead and go as he knew what he wanted, and we still were trying to make up our mind. He also gave us a couple of recommendations which was very helpful. I got the turkey and sliced pork, pinto beans and mustard greens and it was a very good meal, portions were plentiful. I thought the pinto beans were some of the best I’ve ever had. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pinto Beans, Turkey
