It was funny to watch the waiter, who doesn't seem to know what a paratha is, trying to explain what a paratha is to a South Indian guy and then bring out a North Indian style chapathi saying it's paratha. Kerala chicken curry was 3 pieces of baked chicken breast with some seasoning in it, and the curry/gravy part was the two small amounts of dipping sauce that came with it. Dosa waffle is two small pieces of waffle made with dosa batter that should have been thrown out, too sour. All in all, it is not worth the money, and portions are snack sized. We said we’d wait for entrees, sounded like too much food to me. The PIZZAS were fantastic!!!! The appetizers were absolutely too hot! We were full after the pizzas and should have stopped there. Go just for the pizza!!! We did have a bottle of wine that brought up the price . The price was not a problem. The waiter should not have pushed all that food either. There's a charming outdoor area as well. Just a heads up: the pizza oven is small, so if you're ordering multiple pizzas, it might take a little longer. The pizzas are personal-sized. Overall, a great dining experience!

The staff went out of their way to make my elderly mother feel truly special on her birthday, particularly Chloe, the hostess, who went the extra mile to accommodate our last-minute reservation. Each dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, highlighting some of the finest cuisine I've encountered in the area. I genuinely hope they stick around for a long time… 11/10!!!

It offers a sort of Indian cuisine, and they do serve a vegetarian pizza that sounded appealing—though I’m not a pizza lover myself. The dishes were quite interesting, but everything was pre-seasoned, which meant there were no options available that were mild or only slightly spicy. Our group of six had mixed reviews overall. The service was acceptable, and I enjoyed the Caesar salad, while the string beans were nicely charred. As the only vegetarian/pescatarian in the group, I was disappointed to find that the fish dishes were priced over $40, which felt excessive for a neighborhood restaurant I was unfamiliar with. After dinner, I voiced my concerns to the owner, but she didn’t seem to take them seriously and suggested I could have ordered the pizza instead. I left feeling very disappointed and won’t be returning.

Unfortunately, when the food finally arrived an hour later, only two of the dishes were included. I tried calling the restaurant and had to deal with an automated system. After leaving three messages without any reply, I finally got through to a real person on my fourth call. However, they put me on hold, and another staff member picked up to repeat the process. I was told that I could come to the restaurant to pick up my missing item, but they wouldn’t deliver it. It’s a shame because the two items I did receive were really quite good. However, the overall service experience was disappointing, and I won’t be ordering from The Onion Tree again. Good service is a vital part of dining, and it’s clear that this restaurant is falling short in that area.
