I come here every few months and have left super happy every time! The food is absolutely amazing, made efficiently, and presented well. The drink menu matches the quality and flavour of the food, and the staff (both FOH and BOH) are friendly, patient and welcoming. What Donna Taylor doesn't like about Jinbar:
This was probably our 15th time here. Sadly, we didn’t like the menu changes. The wings instead of boneless chicken thighs were a huge disappointment. Everything seemed to lack flavour which is not normal. The green mango papaya slaw was too oily and again the flavour was not the same as it used to be. Great spot for Korean bar food and drinks! We loved the soft serve. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Honey Garlic Butter Fried Chicken, Korean Fried Chicken
Amazing spot but overpriced for portion size, if it was unbelievable food it would be 5/5 but it was quite good food, not jaw dropping. Cocktail list was limited. 150 with tip for a couple appys and 2 drinks for each person should be amazing, it was good. Not amazing. Yellowfin tuna was amazing. Gochujang Chicken Skewer was mid, avoid, overpriced. Chilli Dumplings were very good. Kid-friendliness: Not at all kid friendly. It has bar in the name. The one kid that was running around was nuisance on everyone.

As a local, I would frequently get takeout from JinBar and always loved the pizza and chicken. However, they have recently changed their menu and it was incredibly disappointing. Everything seemed to lack in flavor and the once beloved chicken thighs are now chicken wings, which are now no different than you can get anywhere. Not to mention the price to value ratio is not what is used to be, especially when things are lacking in flavor. Won’t be returning any time soon. They used to offer a discount if you picked up yourself instead of Skip and have now removed that which is disappointing.
