Description

This restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences that leave diners divided. While some rave about the delicious and fresh menu items like pupusas and wet burritos, complemented by attentive service, others express disappointment over portion sizes and wait times. One patron felt shortchanged by overpriced tacos. Despite the criticisms, many return for the restaurant's charm, consistent quality, and a notable sense of humor from the staff. With flavorful dishes that cater to various tastes, this dining destination remains a thrilling spot for adventurous eaters, even if some visitors leave feeling less than satisfied.

I just spent $20 and I had six bites of taco completely ripped off I'm starving and I just spent 20 dollars at this place. You should go down to Italos and buy their tacos and see what tacos are really like. Four tacos bigger than my head pico de gallo with guacamole $13.25! And then he made me wait almost half hour for three tiny tacos. SIX BITES!!!!! Never again Curos!!

My partner ordered the bark soup, and I had the buzzing and cheese. We also tried the guacamole. Everything was delicious! Our server was quick, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

The portion sizes are generous—my order of guacamole was so large that I enjoyed it with every meal and even had chips for snacks for days! I was tempted to try everything on the menu but settled on one new dish to play it safe: a pupusa with a variety of fillings. I enjoyed it but wished I'd tried the pupusa filled only with the El Salvadoran flower. The additional ingredients were so overpowering that I couldn’t really appreciate the taste of the flower itself. Now I’m eager to return to experience that! I also had tacos with steak, chicken, and spicy pork—each was very good. The spicy pork turned out to be my favorite, which was a pleasant surprise. The fermented cabbage was delicious too. I can't wait to go back and try the shrimp soup! Long live Cura's!

I stopped in today to grab lunch and was VERY happy with what I brought home! I got the chicken tacos with a side of Pico de Gallo and an order of rice and beans. Best Mexican food in Scranton, hands down!! Everything was fresh from the chicken all the way down to the cilantro!! The people were very friendly and the restaurant is cozy and clean. I will definitely be back!
