We came to Scranton on official business at the State office building and then we looked for a place nearby for coffee and food. We saw Starbucks nearby, but prefer to always go to a local place instead. What a fantastic choice the Commonwealth Coffeehouse was! It’s a clean, bright, airy place to eat and get some work done. What Julieann Walters doesn't like about Commonwealth Coffeehouse:
Ok nice atmosphere. My sandwich was a chicken, lettuce tomato, grape on a bun. With a coffee. They bring the meal to you.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide entrance, but unsure if it's wheelchair accessible. Tables are accessible. View all feedback.
When I first saw this place I wasn't sure what kind of food they had the second time I want in order a sandwich took it home I was amazed it wasn't soggy like when you go and get a sandwich or sub from a sub shop everything on my sandwich was fresh the second sandwich was a tuna sandwich got it home it was the same as the first and not really expensive I'm gonna to keep going there a less once a week thank you
The food was awesome and the coffee was fantastic. Just a great place to eat and relax.Vegetarian options: Daily specialsKid-friendliness: Welcoming to everyoneWheelchair accessibility: Easy access. Level entry and accessible tables.
Super cute spot with some absolutely phenomenal smelling coffee. Interior is open and airy while still being inviting. Unfortunately, my iced matcha drink was very watery from the get-go. I ordered with almond milk, so it shouldn't have been that thin. Their food is fresh and made to order and smells amazing in the space.Dietary restrictions: Alternative milks available for those who can't have dairy.Parking: There is no parking lot here, just street parking. Depending on the time of day that block can get very busy.
My new go-to coffee shop in Scranton! It is conveniently located to most places I frequent. They have their own house blend coffee, and every other type out there for half the price! A cozy couch you can sit down on to read and relax... Some very cool items and handmade trinkets for sale as well... The food smelled deliciously tempting!
Great place downtown to have coffee, have not had their food. It's a must if you are downtown.
