Sugar Bowl Ice Cream Parlor

A cute ice cream parlor! We loved the vintage aesthetic so much. We felt like we teleported back in time. Especially it being located in the old town theme of Scottsdale. We went with the Desireme Banana Split and Rocky Mountain Sundae, one because I love banana splits and another for an energy because it has coffee. Wished the bathrooms had better theming to align with the rest of the establishment. Otherwise, this spot was good and staff were nice as well.

We both wanted the bar vs. The tables.... eating at the bar has better advantages vs. The table. Better service, and you get to watch the show. Means assembly of your desert that was ordered. Gotta say.... quite nice. The game room was small and unique. In the 50s vibe. The only ding was the nasty bathroom. Mirror was nasty, floor corners, edges nasty... I felt I needed a tetanus shot just from looking at it.

Grown and raised in AZ,my grandparents would take my sis and me when we were little,1980-1990's all the time. Ice cream and sandwiches were just as I remember. I love that they have kept most of the same interior decor, very nostalgic. Staff was great and worked their butt's off. I do, however, wish the restrooms were cleaner and maintained better.

The only thing I considered getting on the menu the waitress told me was awful and she doesn't recommend it.... I appreciate the honesty but also tells you how awful their food is

Every time I go to Scottsdale, I always make it a priority to stop at the Sugar Bowl. This is an nostalgic, iconic malt Shop known world wide! There's only one word I can say about the food and the ice cream, PERFECTION!
