came to lunch at a busy scottsdale in the afternoon. the restaurant was fortunately not blackened and we sat immediately. the building is very interesting in its design, there is something to see, everywhere they look. the service was good and the fish tacos I ordered were delicious, 3 overall and crowded with fish. Try the thinner salsa that they bring on the table, it only has the right kick of the heat. We will vi... View all feedback.
We took a friend there for dinner and had a great night but after looking around I think this place needs a little special needs. Some cleaning, some updating would be cool, all in all the food was good the drinks were a little pricey and a small glass, not the normal but they have the best sopapillas. I WOULD RECOMMEND
I was visiting from Texas. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Now the food- OMG. Amazing. The spinach queso was was DEE-LICIOUS!!!!! The mini sampler plate was full of flavor and just so so good. I enjoyed everything about this place. I definitely recommend trying them out.
If you love Mexican food, drop any other plans you have and come here!! We dropped by here for the first time a couple months ago while visiting and can?t wait to come back. Service is great and the ambiance is fitting to the area and food. We ordered one of the combination dishes which has A LOT of food. Enchiladas, taco, rice and beans. Plus the free chips are warm and better than your store bought tortilla chips. Plates come out warm, all freshly prepared. Prices are great, especially with the large portions. I?ll be back here next time I?m in town!
Great food and strong margaritas! Really enjoyed this joint and can?t say much else about it. Loved my enchiladas and the fajitas were a crowd pleaser. Be careful if you?re ordered double margaritas as the bill can pile up quick!
In addition to the fantastic food, the staff and the ambiance were exceptional. We arrived a bit later in the evening, around 8 PM, and I inquired if the kitchen was still open since I wanted to order a dessert for my significant other's birthday. They informed me that it was closed, but just 10 minutes later, they unexpectedly brought out some flan with a candle. It was a wonderful surprise for her and made the evening even more special. The restaurant's history and decor were fascinating, especially hearing about how the owner's grandfather and uncle built this place over 60 years, starting in 1947, and seeing how it has evolved. The rolling skylight they installed is particularly impressive. Everything was simply perfect. Thank you for making our first experience here so memorable at this wonderful family-owned gem!
