The Gordon Arms - Scottish Borders

What a fantastic experience from the warm welcome the hosts Oxana and Bryn have created a wonderful restaurant with rooms. The food was all local. Beautifully prepared and presented. The service was faultless and the Christmas interiors so naturally done.

I spent one night at this lovely, secluded inn with some friends. The owners of the inn were very charming and welcoming. The dinner menu had a good variety of choices for a small inn and the food was delicious. The wine selection matched the menu very nicely and the bar had a great variety of gins and whiskeys. The bedrooms were simple but cozy, warm, and comfortable. The full Scottish breakfast was a delightful start to the day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and good value for money. I hope the inn continues to thrive and prosper!

Saturday lunch a fantastic meal and top service. The menu is dominated by local produce. We went for three courses for just over £30 which is a great deal, especially when the cooking is as good as this. Seriously excellent food cooked by a proper chef who also popped out to say hello all part of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I fully recommend this place well worth a drive up the spectacular Yarrow Valley. They also do a takeaway service so you can enjoy the same quality at home.

What a wonderful dinner after a year’s break. Visiting Scottish Borders and could not think of a better way to start our holiday. Even in pouring rain it was cosy, inviting and hospitable. We had a wonderful dinner which was a great value. Dishing were perfectly cooked. Hard to say what was the best. Service was personal. Can’t wait to go back.

We have just returned from a fabulous family stay . We were given the private room for dinner and the food was outstanding. We were given a wonderful welcome and the rooms were lovely too. Look forward to returning
