If you dream of a proper old fashioned unique pub then look no further! This pub has character and isn’t like your chain offering. If you walk in the bar and everyone turns round and looks at you, don’t worry, they’re not being unfriendly, just nosey as who is coming in. Is it someone they know? You are most welcome to come in and enjoy great beer (so my husband tells me), amazing food and all at really good prices.... View all feedback.

I cannot praise the chef enough, had 'Scottish trash '. It was absolutely fabulous. The steak in the dish was cooked to perfection, haggis beautiful, I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I 've had for a very long time. Please do not pass it by! Awesome.
I won't lie the moment you walk into the restaurant are, it looks like a run down tired bar, with bar carpets and a dated appearance, but do NOT let this put you off. We travelled down for an event last night and popped in before it started. I worried it was going to be cheap style normal pub fare and I was so wrong. In fact, I will even go as far as to say that I would make the 2 and a half hour round trip in the future solely to eat the foot. I had the BBQ burger with layer after layer, I had no chance of getting my mouth around it. I enjoyed every moment of it, couldn't finish it but oh how I tried. Dessert was a lot simpler but tasty all the same. Staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.
Not glamorous but filling good food. Very welcoming staff. Might be an age thing but every song playing in the background was brilliant. Would definitely return.
What a find!! Behind a rather unprepossessing exterior we had gin and tonics better than anything we’d had in Edinburgh and steaks which were plump and cooked superbly. Lovely banter with the couple running the place- we were walking the St Cuthbert Way and this was our stand out meal of the whole trip!!!
We were recommended by the b b to eat here we weren’t disappointed. Excellent choice of food cooked 2 perfection friendly staff. Al 8 of us had different meals they were all hot were served 2gether. We will return.

Nothing negative. Very welcoming hosts/ owners. Great food. Great prices. Good beer, and selection of whisky and other spirits. Good music, which was not too loud.
Another excellent meal and an enjoyable evening, good selection of drinks and a spoilt for choice menu. My go to place for food and drink when in Jedburgh.
My wife and I stopped here for the first time on our regular journey from Northumberland to Edinburgh. This is a real pub with a friendly welcome and outstanding pub food. My wife had the lamb tahine and I had the classic burger, the best pub food we have had in ages. It was a nice touch being able to order sides other than fries with the burger but of course they were available too. Hopefully we will be back.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. We had a wonderful evening. I ordered the mac burger which was delicious and filling! The restaurant is charming and cozy, and we enjoyed some drinks and played pool afterwards. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would rate it 10/10.

Gordon and Lorraine are great hosts, providing the essentials a good old fashioned pub should. If you go for dinner make sure you have a good appetite or a doggie bag. I’ve never once managed a pudding. I’ll maybe have to go in just for pudding one day. Another wee gem in Jedburgh.

The dining experience was fantastic. I had a burger while my mother enjoyed a steak, and both dishes were excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

I had a wonderful meal, thank you! The host was warm and friendly, the prices were reasonable, and I highly recommend paying a visit.
Amazing burgers at very reasonable prices. You may want to make reservations on weekends, but if you have to wait, it will definitely be worth it.
Stopped here for lunch on the way to Perthshire because it was dog friendly. The owners were lovely and very welcoming, and the burgurs were absolutely amazing! You won't find anywhere else that has such a choice of different burgers. Two thumbs up.
