Old Melrose Tea Rooms Bookshop

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and serves excellent coffee. The only issue is that some patrons leave the door open, so signs at the doors would be helpful. There are many signs throughout the restaurant, but they are lacking at the entrances.

The food was delicious and the service was very pleasant. We sat next to the coal fire and the atmosphere was atmospheric. The menu is small, but the cakes looked homemade and beautiful. I tried the chocolate cake slice and it was wonderful. The bacon sandwich and hot soup made for a perfect brunch on a cold day before taking a walk down to the river.
