It was getting on for 4pm when my partner I realized we'd missed lunch. The cafe we planned to go to had closed for the day so we went searching further into Ha... read more It was getting on for 4pm when my partner I realized we'd missed lunch. The cafe we planned to go to had closed for the day so we went searching further into Hawick. Brodies was the first restaurant we happened open and it was open, it even had a sign outside stating they were serving teas coffees, lunches and evening meals. The young lady that served us couldn't have been nicer. She is a credit to the owner who was busy setting up for a large evening meal booking. After perusing the lunchtime menu my partner finally decided on the burger whilst I plumped for the chicken strips wrap. Both came with a decent portion of chips and a side salad topped with a delightful vinaigrette dressing. His came with onion rings and coleslaw and mine with a sweet chilli sauce. Both meals were obviously freshly prepared as they arrived piping hot. We set to and enjoyed ever mouthful. We will most definitely be back.
