It's hea... read more I just found out from a kitchen employee at Riva that the restaurant is closing for good due to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on September 19. It's heartbreaking to see Riva leaving our town of Scituate, but we hope that another great restaurant will take its place in the future. It's devastating to see yet another restaurant lost to the pandemic, which could have been prevented with earlier action. Goodbye Riva, you will be missed.

As a New Yorker, I am used to small portions and pricey salmon dish... read more I decided to try out this restaurant for takeout over the weekend since I couldn't dine out. As a New Yorker, I am used to small portions and pricey salmon dishes, but I was shocked to receive a $28 salmon dish that came with only a tiny piece of salmon, 5 pieces of gnocchi, and HALF A CUP OF MELTED BUTTER. I was confused and disappointed, and it felt like they were taking advantage of the current situation where customers can't inspect the food before leaving. I will not be coming back and I suggest checking your food before you drive away with your takeout order.
