We had 2... read more We had dinner here, in Chianalea,Scilla. Set on a pontoon over the ocean and surrounded by mountains lit up by local village lights...simply stunning. We had 2 entrees to share, firstly a ceviche with Burrata, tasted like a capreza salad with cured fish, amazing. We also had a pasta with seafood (red sauce) it’s was delightful. The freshness of the fish was as if Poseidon had seasoned it with the ashes of his mermaid angels or as I call the mermangels. For mains me and my brother had the mixed fish grill, some wins with the stuffed sword fish steak with seafood filling and a few crustaceans. There were a few cuts of fish which were over cooked. My wife unfortunately got given the wrong dish, it took a while for hers to come as it was, so she just accepted it. My other brother also had stuffed swordfish steaks but with red sauce. It was delightful. Overall A+ for location, B- for culinary execution. Not the worst place in the world. But again the setting would blow the socks off even the most mundane of people.

They could... read more Dropped in for a lunch with my wife and another couple from NJ without any prior experience. We were all impressed with the ambiance, menu and staff. They could not have been more accommodating and the menu offered a wide selection. We dined outside on the deck and enjoyed the vista and the sloshing of the sea below and around us. I highly recommend it.

The food was disappointing, we took antipasti that was ok, but the first course that was the specialty of the day was very unpleasant. Ratio quality/price very low.
