Beautifully decorated restaurant. I had searched for a vegan restaurant in Schwerin and although this isn’t fully vegan, it had enough options and the food was delicious! Highly recommend! View all feedback.
When I first saw KGB Cafe on HappyCow, I was somewhat insecure because I wasn't like a cafe full of USSR nostalgia, especially at the current moment. But it wasn't like that! The interior of the café is a perfect picture if I have ever visited an unstoppable café, that's it! So elegant, and the French chansons play in the background added to the atmosphere. The food is another thing, some of which are inspired by courts from former Soviet countries, but not only by Russian courts. For example, there is also a Georgian. We came to breakfast and my husband chose the pancakes while I had the vegan breakfast plate. It was definitely the best breakfast we had so far! The pancakes were just perfect. The breakfast plate included a croissant and a whole grain carrot ****. There were several spreads (cashew caramel, Cashew hummus, date jam), soy yoghurt, fruit salad, plus avocado and red pepper and margarine. Everything was excellent. Service was also very friendly. The only thing is that if you order hot drinks, you might want to point out that you do not want the free cookie to come with them. We felt a little sworn to not eat them, as we were told we should eat them because they were cooked at home. However, they were not vegan, which was not our fault. Apart from this little irritation it was a perfect morning and we enjoyed the food and the visit here very much. Visited in June 2022 Updated from previous review on 2022 06 07
Nice ambience. The vegan breakfast was great!
We were here for breakfast. There are coffees with vegetable milk and various rolls with spreads.
We have breakfast there and it was very delicious and varied.
