Gasthof Astegg - Schwendau

Wonderful restaurant with great views and access through both a hiking trail and mountain road. We liked it so much we went twice once for dinner and then for lunch! The dinner menu is more extensive so we would recommend dinner :

We had been here 3 years ago (for a number of evening) and now came back here for another week of great food. Everything is fresh, the meat is excellent (no fat, tasty, proper cooked etc) and it all just tasts great. Nice beers, wines etc. Be aware that the kitchen closes around 20:00 so be sure to get a table on time. Lovely, easy going service. Combined with great views, great food and decent prices. Highly recommend to eat here if you have the opportunity

We've had excellent mealing chips here. Nice staff. It's a shame we were as extinct guests in the least cozy room.

We have been regularly since 2012, sometimes 1x times 2x to ski on astegg. the family are friendly and accommodating hostess. we always like to come because the family business gives us the feeling to be home right away. the morning breakfast is small but great assorted and the eierfoods come fresh from the kitchen, the skier jause changes daily and the evening meal has always been excellent and varied. the sauna area is small, but well maintained and offers a great look like most rooms. we can only make a recommendation. if you dare the way with the car to astegg, then it's worth it anyway:-)

We were there at silvester and enjoyed a 5 go silvester menu. it was very tasty and the staff very hard.
