I had the meatspiesse and he had the Madagascar Lende... my pig was hard dry, although the pepper sauce was delicious, like the Silvaner (wine) soup. His pig was fine, but the sparrow was cold the salad a little bit gritty as if the salad leaves were not properly washed... friendly, rustic atmosphere reasonable price but definitely not 4,7 in our opinion...

We were... read more This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Schweinfurt. I had not been there in a few years and was very disappointed on this most recent visit. We were four people.The best anyone could say was this was just average. Two of us were very disappointed with our meals. In one case, the main course had as much fat as meat and the meat was tough. In my case, the Flammkuchen was easily the worst I have ever eaten. The only good point was that the waitress was quite good. It is too bad she is stuck in such a poor restaurant. To add to the disappointment, the acoustics were terrible despite the restaurant being less than half full. The restaurant seemed exactly as it was some 15 years ago when I first visited. It has become quite tired looking and dreary.
