The food was ok, however..20 minutes after arriving we had to ask the waiter to take our order. The waiter was chewing gum and sighing all the time which was extremely unprofessional.60 minutes after arriving we received our food, which was ok. The fries came without sauce, we had to ask for some. After about 10 minutes there still was no sauce so we went inside to ask where it was. It stood on the counter when we came in, no one had brought it to us.We asked for a beer refill, a german man a few tables ahead asked for one too (after us). The german man got his beer really fast, however we had to wait some more minutes for ours.It was just a bad experience when it comes to customer service.
The restaurant is wonderfully situated. The terrace is located above the cycle path and you have, at least from the front places, a beautiful view of the Moselle.Leider we had caught an unfavourable day, because according to the extremely friendly waitress, the cook was sick this day and the owner of the restaurant had to put himself in the kitchen. However, he was not really able to bring a reasonably fried dump steak (medium rear) on the plate. After a waiting period of over 50 minutes (we were the second occupied table, before us was a threesome table on it) I got a cold steak that was laid on the plate somewhat unloved, which looked more boiled than fried outside. After I tried, I realized that the frying fat wasn't hot enough. Thus the steak was cooked more than fried. The meat was also not long enough in the pan and was not crispy outside and brown. After my complaint, I got the steak back in the second attempt at least enjoyable, but there is still a lot of air up.My husband and my daughter had Spaghetti Carbonara, which were really good, but also no longer al dente. At least the Carbonara was according to original recipe with egg and cream, as well as ham. Our guest had the cramp of the kind of house that looked good and tasted well. Overall, I can say that the restaurant is ok if you are not a special gourmet. Schnitzelfans definitely come to their costs, the kitchen is specialized in fried food. Pommes and fleees (fried chicken wings) are among the most popular dishes of the guests. I was able to observe that at least during our visit. A little more sophistication when setting up the dishes on the plate could definitely not hurt. Satt is in any case and the good view is compensated for the mediocrity of food. I would not recommend the restaurant at this time, as should definitely be upgraded
Price-performance ratio is correct. There are still good bourgeois cuisine and friendly service.
