You'll get sit down service, but the menu is in German only and the young waitress was very kind to us in translating. Cash only by the way. (There's an ATM at the cable car. We were invited to sit with a lovely local couple who didn't speak English and were later joined by an older local who also spoke very little English. The place was charming, highly local, the beer and food was excellent although limited it seems like mostly beer garden style meats, cheeses, soups etc. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We didn't find a menu in English, but a staff member nicely took our order in English. Self-serve is at the window. We really enjoyed the Schwangau dip trio with our beers.
